1. Before using a new diamond tool, it should be withdrawn from the last trimmed feed. Many brittle diamond tools are suspected to be damaged during initial contact with the grinding wheel. When placing the diamond cutter on the holder, be careful not to hit the surface of the grinding wheel.
2. During the entire dressing time, use coolant to pour the contact between the dresser and the grinding wheel. Do not "harden" hot diamond tools (referring to sudden cooling). During dry dressing, the interval between two dressings needs to be maintained to cool the hot diamond tool.
3. Pay attention to minor repairs. The depth of the repair is relatively large. For rough repair: 0.001-0.002 inches. For finishing removal: 0.0005-0.001 inches. If possible, the amount of wheel removal per wheel must not exceed 0.001 inches on the wheel radius. Excessive repairs can cause premature wear and frequent breakage of the diamond tool head.
4. It is not possible to select an excessively large removal amount and a too fast lateral feed rate during rough trimming, and then select a small removal amount and a slow lateral feed rate during fine trimming. This will quickly damage the diamond tool. If possible, it is recommended to select the same transverse feed rate for rough and fine dressing.
